Welcome to Courage of Faith.

Originally written as a screenplay in 2014, Courage of Faith tells the story of 14-year-old Chase Taylor, a boy who has a unique way to honor the passing of his father, Asher Taylor. As he faces the difficult journey of grief, he strives to live by the guiding principles of Walking the Path, a gift his father passed down to him. Our vision was to turn the screenplay into a movie, and in 2014, we produced a sizzle reel to offer a glimpse of what the film could become.

We are proud graduates of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and take great pride in our Scottish, Hispanic, and Cajun heritage. When A.J. wrote the screenplay, one of my most cherished memories was listening to LSU and ULL football and baseball games with our father, either on the radio or television. These moments shaped our bonds, and we needed to capture that connection in the story. After many rewrites, the idea of remembrance crafts emerged—something that would give life to memories in a tangible form.

At the time, the Courage of Faith bracelets and Courage of Faith Cross Totems were crafted specifically as props for the film. But what began as a simple design for a movie prop soon evolved into a meaningful process.

One Christmas, A.J. began making bracelets and cross totems using cherished items. He developed a process that allowed him to use prayer cards, obituaries, clothing, funeral plants, flowers, newspaper clippings, and even old letters from family members who had passed away. Through this process and using a binder, A.J. created one-of-a-kind crafts such as earrings, pendants, bracelets, cross totems, and ink pens.

He made these crafts as gifts to honor and remember our loved ones who were no longer with us. The response from family and friends was overwhelming, and the joy these pieces brought to them was indescribable. Before long, more friends and acquaintances began reaching out, asking him to create custom remembrance pieces for their own families. He became dedicated to learning their stories, spending all the time necessary to ensure each piece was a deeply personal tribute to their loved ones. He is proud to say that many of those early clients have become part of the Courage of Faith family. Nearly all the remembrance craft designs are handmade, each piece carefully transformed into something beautiful and meaningful. This tradition continues today with the launch of the Courage of Faith website.

As time passed, we realized that turning Courage of Faith into a movie might not be in the cards for us. However, we still believed in the power of the story, so we decided to adapt the screenplay into a book. We are thrilled to announce that the e-book will be available by June 15th, 2025. We are hopeful that a paperback and audiobook will follow soon and be available for purchase on the Courage of Faith website. It is a beautiful story that begins with faith, family, and baseball—three pillars where spiritual strength and personal growth converge.
